FuelPay Software Installation
1. Pre-Installation
Ensure the site ID for the dealer and customer has been setup in the licensing server by Sylogist
Ensure IIS is installed in windows options on the PC
Run FuelPay main installer to start the installation.
For additional slave terminals run the slave installer only on the other PC’s
Once FuelPay installation is complete
all programs are located under “Program files/Sylogist”
all data is located under “ProgramData/Sylogist”
2. Wayne Communication Setup
To setup the Wayne communication go to “ProgramData/Sylogist/Reader”
run the “readerserviceconfig.exe”
select “Single Instance” from the drop-down menu
enter the number of readers on the site
setup reader IP address and port (i.e. syz lab rdr 1 = 192.168.1.20 port 8000)
after config is finished press save and close application
restart the “fuelpay reader service” in windows
3. New Install (Before Starting Services)
Go to “Program files/Sylogist/ConfigTool”
run configtool.exe first to configure local site settings
enter the SiteID that was provided by Sylogist
create an initial admin user with a password
setup pump information in the main “Pumps” tab
I. in the Fuel Grades section create all required fuel grades
II. in the pumps section create all pumps and hoses for site (every pump must have a hose 1)
III. in the Fuel Grade groups section setup volume limits on all fuel grades
IV. in the pump types section settings can stay as default
V. in the FDSharp section disable FDSharp if using the OLE version of Fuel Direct otherwise leave as default
VI. press the save button to save these settingssetup reader information in the main readers tab
I. in the Readers section setup reader number, type and build
check required options
select which pumps are controlled by the reader
press the save button to save settings
II. in the Card Brands section setup any options needed from the list and press the save button
setup processors in processors tab
I. only setup processors to be used
II. Tender retail is internal processor for Global and only required the merchant ID and Daily Batch time settings
III. Press the set active option and save the settings
IV. In the reader IDs section enter the Terminal ID (TID) that was provided for each reader from Global (i.e., for Sylogist test RMSDWD01 for reader 1)
V. Press the save button to save the settingsSetup messaging and logfiles in Settings tab
I. Leave messaging settings as default unless another email host is required to be used to send error messages
II. A test section is provided to test your settings
III. In the Log4Net section leave all settings as default
4. FuelPay Webtool Configuration
Install the sylogist personal certificate
Open IIS in windows and select the top level host
Doubleclick on server certificates and in the upper right menu select Import
The path is
c:\programdata\sylogist\fuelpayThe file is
syz***.pfxand the password is$yz123Import as a personal certificate
Select the “FuelPay2Web” site and on the right menu under edit site select bindings
Select the port 4432 port and click edit
Select the sylogist certificate in the ssl certificate section and click ok
Select the “Sylogist Web Config” site and on the right menu under edit site select bindings
Select the port 81 and click edit
Select the sylogist certificate in the ssl certificate section and click ok
Close IIS
5. FuelPay Mobile Setup
Fuelpay mobile requires the modification of the settings for connection to Moneris
In “programdata/sylogist” open the
fuelpaysettings.jsonfile and change all settings in the file to values provided by Moneris and set the testmode setting to “false”
6. Web Config Tool Setup
In Browser go to web config tool (click the shortcut on the desktop)
“Localhost:81/login” and login using name and pwd setup earlier
In Reader
I. Setup receipt options
II. Setup training prompts if required
III. If using training prompts setup sets and schedules
IV. If necessary, change default soft keys
V. Add more credit bin ranges if necessaryIn Finance
I. Change fuel prices
II. Setup discounts
III. Change or add taxes as needed
IV. Configure couponing if needed
V. The Live transactions section shows the transactions that did not complete yetIn Private Fleet
I. Setup accounts as needed
II. Add cards
III. Add bin ranges
IV. Kardall setup for transactionsIn User groups you can setup users and group them as required with the appropriate level of options
Reporting is for viewing of available reports
In Settings you can change the general site settings for the software
7. Final Step
After all settings are complete, either restart all services or restart computer
